Centre For Learning and Development

Centre for Learning and Development

This Programme is currently being implemented for the students of Classes IX, X and XI, XII (Science and Commerce). In our Centre, we have 353 students from 74 different schools (Government and private) across Delhi. It is important to emphasise that our Centre is not a tuition centre or a programme offering remedial education. This is rather a promotional initiative to bring the students belonging to the disadvantaged groups on an even platform where they are enabled and encouraged to engage in healthy competition with other students.

We engage the best and most competent teachers to teach our students. Currently, we are conducting two sections each of Classes IX, X and XI, XII (Science and Commerce).

The aim is to enable them to secure admissions in the prestigious institutions of higher learning. Through this programme, the Foundation is striving to give children goals to pursue – regarding excellence in higher education and advanced learning - making them aware of the diverse courses, and enabling them to fulfil the eligibility requirements for admission to these courses. Our aim is to help children develop an aptitude for competitive exams, and simultaneously enable them to develop competency to appear for and qualify various competitive exams.

Through this Programme, we strive to inculcate scientific temperament among children, initiate and nurture them in the realm of reasoning and logic and make them thinking individuals.

It is important to flag here that most students in our Centre are first generation learners and belong to different socio-economic strata. Some of our students come from financially challenged families, some are migrant labourers, and some others are street vendors. Our Centre provides an inclusive space where children from different socio-economic backgrounds as well as academic backgrounds study together. Also, we consciously strive towards promoting girls’ education.

Significantly, this Centre, like our other interventions, is not a commercial venture. All our initiatives for the students are offered absolutely free.
